Favorite Gluten Free Restaurants

May 15, 2013 By Ligia

I am thankful that we are now 6 years into our gluten free journey. When we first started, our only choice for dining out was In and Out. Now we have more choices. Here is our favorite places to eat:

Chili’s

BJ’s Brewhouse

In and Out

Benihana’s– with Benihana and Shirasoni I bring my own gluten free soy sauce. I ask that all food cooked at our table uses the gluten free soy sauce.

Outback Steakhouse

Shirasoni (a local Benihana’s type place)- I use gluten free soy sauce

Local chinese/japanese restaurant- we bring our own soy sauce

Local mexican food restaurant- Chapalas

Five Guy’s– when our local shop opened they did not have “lettuce wrap” but now they do!

Local Chicken and Ribs place- open discussion with cooks

With all these places, especially the local places, I have visited the establishment in person and spoke directly with the manager regarding our gluten free diet. Most places are very accomodating. Each time we visit I also discuss with the waiter our needs. Since we frequent these establishments regularly we have built a rapport with our local businesses.

I also want to mention the Dining Guide from Triumph. I have mentioned it in several of my posts, especially when traveling.

I have only listed my favorite restaurants, here is another blogger who has found all the “chain” restaurants and has link to all their menus. Visit Gluten-Free Homemaker and scroll down.

Happy dining!
