Diabetes Emergency Kit Update

September 27, 2012 By Ligia

I have been working on filling my diabetes emergency  kit. The end of September is near and my goal was to have this done by the end of this month. Here is what I’ve done so far:

1. Basic diabetes supplies-tester, lancets, test strips, glucagon, sugar pills, ketostixs, and needles.

Since KD uses a pump I also have to include all she needs for that. I made four packets each containing the following:

  • contact detach
  • cartridges
  • IV 1000( a cover that goes over her site)
  • IV prep (alcohol wipes)
  • Uni-solve (remover)

I still have a few more things to add. Including: food and batteries. I need to have batteries for the pump and the checker.
