Price Book App: My Friend in Savings

October 7, 2013 By Ligia

What is a price book?

Basically it’s a book (or in my case an app) to track prices of your favorite items at your favorite stores. How do you know its the best price? Or that it’s a good time to stock up? Well, I price book! For example, coffee creamer is one of the items I keep track of.  Since I’ve inputed several brands and prices,I know that Safeway Lucerne is the best deal at $2.79 for 32 oz. When it goes on sale for $2.79 or less I stock up!

You can read more about Price Books here at Organized Home. You can find some printable price book forms at the bottom of the article.

One of my favorite blogs Money Saving Mom has a few more paper price books.

I’ve done paper price books before but for the past couple of years, I have been using an application simply called Pricebook. When I am at the store, I can quickly find the item in my app and see if it is truely a great deal!

It is $1.99 but it is worth it. I already carry a bunch of other things, like my coupon sorter, my own bags, I really don’t want to carry around a price book too!
